It is now six months into the CEO role and we are tracking extremely well! We are recruiting extra nurses to ensure full coverage for our clients on weekends and public holidays. This means consistent care and support seven days a week. Our General Practitioner Special Interest Group (GP SIG) Project is gaining momentum and we had our first GP SIG meeting on 26 May at Peninsula Home Hospice. This year has been a particularly challenging one for Peninsula Home Hospice (PHH). As with all aspects of our lives, COVID-19 has required PHH to embrace constant change to ensure the safety of staff, clients and their families/carers. I have been incredibly proud of the way PHH’s management team, staff and volunteers have provided a seamless service to our community throughout the changing landscape.
