At Peninsula Home Hospice, our volunteers truly make an impact.
We provide specialist palliative care to people in the comfort of their home. Our aim is to optimise the quality of life for those in our care and honour their hope for comfort, choice dignity and peace.
Initial training is provided with additional program specific training when required.
Come join our team and help create comfort, joy, and dignity for those we care for.

Our Fundraising Volunteer Network
PHH enjoys the support of a dedicated group of volunteer fundraisers who work within the community raising money and awareness through a variety of events.

One of the first fundraising groups established to support PHH, Mornington Auxiliary continues to grow from strength to strength with 4-6 annual events including light luncheon at Mornington Yacht Club, Annual Lunch, Film Night, Yarrawonga Golf Classic and the PHH Annual Golf Day.

A group of mah-jong devotees who meet regularly for social games with a $5 game fee being donated to PHH.
Every Thursday at the Red Hill Tennis Club, Red Hill Recreation Reserve, 184 Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill. Arrive 12.15pm if you’d like to share lunch or 12.45pm if you just wish to play. Finishes approx. 3.30-4pm.
Cost is $5 with afternoon tea.
This event raises approx. $4,000 per year. New players are most welcome and Meg is happy to teach them how to play.

Red Hill Op Shop
After many years at 207 Arthurs Seat Rd, Red Hill, the Red Hill Opportunity Shop (RHOS) made the move in mid 2015 to its permanent new home at 33 Mechanics Road, Red Hill.
Red Hill Op Shop has been in existence since 1983, when it was formed by locals Carmel Whelan and Shirley Reynolds (both now deceased) to raise funds for a feasibility study into establishing a home hospice service on the Mornington Peninsula. It has grown into a valuable community asset over the years.
As well as providing a hub for people to meet and a favourite retail outlet, it has also donated over $1 million to Peninsula Home Hospice since it opened.
During the following years, it has had to move twice and its current location at 33 Mechanics Road, Red Hill, is now its permanent home thanks to Grant and Cathy Booker, a local couple who bought the former Uniting Church and set up a Trust to ensure the Op Shop’s occupation of the site could never be threatened.
The Op Shop has a wide variety of constantly changing goods for sale and its pricing policies ensure that turnover is quick. There are over 100 volunteers who give their time freely helping to making the Op Shop the success it has become, supported by a huge number of people who donate and as many loyal customers.
New volunteers are always welcome, so if you can spare three hours once a month, the Op Shop would love to hear from you.
