June 2021 Newsletter

It is now six months into the CEO role and we are tracking extremely well!

We are recruiting extra nurses to ensure full coverage for our clients on weekends and public holidays. This means consistent care and support seven days a week.

Our General Practitioner Special Interest Group (GP SIG) Project is gaining momentum and we had our first GP SIG meeting on 26 May at Peninsula Home Hospice. It was a great opportunity for local doctors to connect with our service and further develop their palliative care skills. This project will be written up and submitted for publication when completed. We had our first Mother’s Day Stall at the Mornington Market on Wednesday 5 May which was very successful in connecting with the local community.

The weather was perfect and a lot of fun was had by all. Lots of people stopped for a chat, to purchase an item or just give a donation. A big thank you to PHH staff and volunteers who helped out on the day.
